VIDA Community Health Workers are providing registration/application assistance for the following programs:
1. FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Program
a. Information to have ready for the Registration Process
i. Social Security number (one per household)
ii. Address of the damaged home or apartment
iii. Description of the damage
iv. Current telephone number
v. Address where you can get mail or email to receive notifications
vi. Insurance information, if available
vii. Bank account and routing number for direct deposit of funds

2. California Employment Development Department (CA EDD) Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) Program
a. General Eligibility Includes:
i. No longer has a job or a place to work; or
ii. Cannot reach the place of work; or
iii. Cannot work due to damage to the place of work; or
iv. Cannot work because of an injury caused by the disaster b. For more information from California:

3. Monterey County COVID-19 Funeral and Burial Assistance Program
a. Applications are initiated through the Monterey County COVID-19 Funeral and Burial Assistance Hotline: 831-356-3137. Hours: 8-11 am Mon-Wed. You can leave a message with your contact info after hours for a call back.
b. General Eligibility
i. Low income
ii. Have incurred funeral expenses for a decedent that has passed away from Covid-19 in Monterey County after January 20th 2020
iii. The applicant must not be eligible for the FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Program
iv. The applicant, the person applying, may be Undocumented
