California Cooling Centers & Heatwave Information- Madera/Fresno County

The following Madera County Cooling Centers are tentatively scheduled at the hours and location(s) below:

Pan American Community Center
703 Sherwood Way, Madera, CA 93638
8:00am-8:00pm
*Available on weekdays only. Days of activation vary depending on weather conditions.*

Transportation: The City’s FAX Bus system will provide free transportation along normal routes to and from Cooling Centers. To ride free, residents must indicate they are traveling to a Cooling Center.

Fresno hosts cooling centers when the weather forecasts temperatures of 105 degrees. Open weekdays from 1pm until 7pm when the temperature is 105 degrees and above; cooling centers are open on the weekend if the temperature is projected to reach 105 degrees either weekend day, for more information click here.
